International Leadership Camp 2018 at KMUTT

This event was conducted by International Center for Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at KMUTT Bangmod campus between August 1-4, 2018 with the theme “Student Leadership Initiative”, among the 32 Participants were students from KMUTT and partner universities from NKUST in Taiwan, UTM in Malaysia and also SLU The Philippines. The participants had done several leadership activities through the days they shared together. The first day was a Campus tour around Bangmod Campus of KMUTT and Icebreaking activities to make everyone familiar with each other. Participants were divided into 5 groups and in each groups members, everyone in the group needs to cooperate among their members to get through every camp assignment, especially the innovative solution on global issues.

On the second day, was started by a very interesting activity on leadership by Dr. Ryan McCuiston continued with the Thai language workshop where everyone had to learn Thai vocabularies and wrote their names in Thai. Also, we learned on how to make Somtam (Thai Papaya Salad). Then, in the afternoon, each group were assigned to do an outdoor “reality” challenge activity at the local market by using Thai words they have learnt to buy 3 Thai desserts and decorating stuffs for making Krathong (water lantern).  Each group decorated krathong on their own styles and floated them into the pond that evening. On the third day, we went on a field trip at the Grand Palace (Wat Phra Kaew) and Wat Po with our mission to take group photos with the landmark of the famous tourist attractions and later that evening, all participants attended the Cultural Night with spectacular dance performances at their national costumes. On the final day of the camp, the groups presented their innovative solution, received their certificates and ended up with the meaningful farewell party.
