About Department

Department of Tool and Materials Engineering Teaching and Learning Management Research and development and academic services to the society in the field of metal forming technology. Polymer Ceramics Glass and Composite Materials Expertise in manufacturing technology. Used for screed, cutting. Heat treatment Coatings and the use of engineering materials to improve product quality and reduce production costs. The Department has a strong and outstanding research track record in metal forming, coupled with expertise in a wide range of materials. As a result, there are graduates who are professional engineers in the country’s major manufacturing sectors. Especially the automotive industry. It offers 3 undergraduate programs, namely Tool Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Automotive Parts Manufacturing Engineering. 1 Master’s and 1 Ph.D. program is in the field of Material Molding Technology and Manufacturing Innovation.

    Graduate Opportunities

    Graduates in tool engineering can work in both the public and private sectors. They will become engineers who work on the design and production of metal molds, plastic molds, and other industrial tools, the selection of engineering tools and materials to produce parts of products that require quality and low production costs, control of production processes, control of product quality, and production planning. Currently, graduates in this field are in high demand in the industrial sector because they are graduates with specialized knowledge and skills that can immediately work for industrial plants, especially in the automotive parts manufacturing industry and the electrical and electronic parts manufacturing industry. Graduates can also continue their studies at the master’s and doctoral levels both domestically and internationally, with quality and reputation that are recognized internationally.

    Bachelor of Engineering Program in Materials Engineering

    Graduate Opportunities

    Graduates in materials engineering can work in both the public and private sectors, as well as various types of industries. However, they will have specialized skills in materials science in analyzing characteristics, deterioration and reuse, and selecting various types of engineering materials, such as metals, polymers, glass, ceramics, and composites, which are consistent with the manufacturing process of those materials. They have good knowledge of surface engineering technology, especially vacuum coating techniques. They are able to use engineering materials testing equipment and use advanced scientific tools, such as electron microscopes and various types of X-ray analysis. From this expertise, graduates will have the ability to plan and control production, as well as quality control and cost analysis. They can also continue their studies at the master’s and doctoral levels, both domestically and internationally.

    Bachelor of Engineering Program in Modern Automotive and Aerospace Parts Manufacturing Engineering (Multidisciplinary Program)

    Graduate Opportunities

    Graduates in Automotive and Aerospace will have knowledge in automotive parts manufacturing engineering, be able to design and control production from materials to processes, and assemble automotive products and spare parts to ensure quality, on time, and reduce production costs. Graduates can work in automotive manufacturing factories, as well as other government and private agencies, and may own businesses in the production of parts and spare parts. They can also become researchers in automotive parts manufacturing engineering and other related fields, as well as teachers and lecturers in science and technology educational institutions.
