About Department
The Electrical Engineering Department of KMUTT has been established for over 60 years. It has a complete faculty and equipment, produces graduates at both bachelor’s and master’s degrees, has a variety of research and development, and has provided academic services to society for a long time. It is well-known in academic and industrial circles. It is a basic engineering branch that is essential for business and industrial operations. It provides a variety of core engineering studies, such as analysis and design of production systems, transmission systems, and distribution systems to ensure correct and safe electricity distribution to areas of use, as well as studies in lighting engineering, high-voltage electrical engineering, electronic engineering, power electronics engineering, control systems engineering, instrumentation systems, industrial measurement and processes, power systems and protection technology, electrical machinery, computer programming and microprocessor applications, digital techniques, as well as studies in electrical system design and cost estimation, including studies in many basic engineering subjects to provide basic knowledge in engineering problems and to be able to communicate correctly with engineers in other fields.

Graduates of Electrical Engineering at KMUTT can apply their knowledge to a wide range of careers, such as in the industrial sector, they can work as systems engineers, maintenance engineers, design engineers, analysis engineers, research and development engineers, energy managers in factories, and high-rise buildings. They can also work at the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, the provincial electricity authority, and the three production departments. They can also work in the industrial business sector as engineers providing general technical services, designing, contracting, installing, testing, or sales engineers. Graduates in this field have the opportunity to become business owners and continue their studies in many fields, such as engineering, energy, management, and information technology, etc. They can also study up to a doctorate degree, and they can work in the country’s energy sector, as well as become civil servants or state enterprise employees.
