About Department
The Department of Environmental Engineering, KMUTT produces environmental engineers who can work in areas related to the supervision, consultation, and design of processes for improving or treating water for consumption/drinking, wastewater, wastewater, air pollution, waste, and hazardous waste, using engineering techniques in conjunction with management. At the bachelor’s level, the focus is on theory and practice in both basic engineering subjects and core environmental engineering subjects for professional practice, such as waterworks engineering, treatment system design, and environmental management. In addition, field trips and senior projects are provided, which are student-centered based on interests or aptitudes. At the master’s level, teaching and learning are organized in the form of study and research to solve environmental problems. Students can choose the scope and number of research credits according to their needs. At the doctoral level, the focus is on developing students into quality researchers to develop new knowledge, technology, and innovation in engineering and environmental management, with an environmental laboratory equipped with both basic and advanced analytical tools used in teaching and research. Teaching media are produced in the form of environmental engineering textbooks and research work in international journals. Research groups are established by academics with high academic enthusiasm.
